Priorities

Oregon must become a state where everyone has the opportunity and resources to thrive.

We continue to face urgent problems with scarce resources with which to solve them. Sen. Frederick asks of every policy decision, “How will this make our lives better, in my District and in the State as a whole?” And he believes that we also have to consider: "Will this decision make something worse?"

Our Economy

He is proud of the work Democrats have done to reaffirm our economic vitality and security. He will continue to focus on increasing economic opportunity, protecting and improving our environment both locally and globally, improving public safety in a real, meaningful and humane way, and ensuring access to a complete and comprehensive education for every child, close to home.

Transportation & Access

Sen. Frederick travels the state extensively in his capacity as member of the Joint Transportation Committee. Although he’s from the biggest city in Oregon, he has seen and understands the challenges of rural districts. He knows how difficult it can be for rural Oregonians when they don’t have access to health care, internet service, water, and other state services, and he is taking action.

Priorities

  1. Ensuring the long-term success of Oregon’s democracy.

  2. Providing the opportunity and support that every Oregonian needs to thrive.

  3. Fighting book bans and other government attacks on the freedom of Oregonians.
